What do these crazy dreams mean??

I've been having some pretty intense dreams this week that leave me tired and a bit stressed, so I wondered what they could possibly mean? Obviously, the exact meaning is specific to the person and what's going on in their life at the time, but I was interested to find out about some of the more common ones! Have a look below for your dreams.

Remember, that this is your subconscious giving you hints that your conscious mind needs to make some sense of.

I'm going to be using some the products from our Rest & Refresh box for the next few days, to try and create a more stress-free sleep ritual! Take a look at it below.

So what do my dreams mean?

Dreams about uncovering rooms in your house / somewhere else you didn't know were there before

I've had this weird dream, where I suddenly discover a whole new room or rooms that I've never seen before. It's not unpleasant, actually quite an exciting dream. This can mean that you are ready to start a new phase in your life, you've discovered new outlooks or abilities about yourself and you're ready to push forward.

Dreams about being naked or being dressed oddly / shabbily etc

First of all, this is a really common one. Most psychologists believe this relates to being embarrassed about something about yourself that other people don’t know about you.

It might indicate that you feel like a phony or that you are afraid of revealing your imperfections and shortcomings.

Dreams that you are late - you're trying to get somewhere / do something but just can't get there.

This can indicate that you want to take a different direction - do something new, get a different job, move home etc., but that you aren't progressing with it. It can be your subconscious telling you it's not too late, but you need to get on with it.

Dreams about being chased

Oh yes, I have this one quite often and again they are very common. Dream interpreters often suggest that such dreams mean that you are trying to avoid something in your daily life, and this dream indicates a desire to escape from your own fears or desires.

The key to understanding what such a dream might mean depends partly on the identity of your pursuer. Being chased by an animal might indicate that you are hiding from your own anger, passions, and other feelings. If your pursuer is a mysterious, unknown figure, it might represent a childhood experience or past trauma.

Dreams about losing teeth

Dreaming about losing teeth can have multiple meanings. It might mean that you are worried about your attractiveness or appearance.

It might also indicate that you are concerned about your ability to communicate or concerned that you might have said something embarrassing.

Teeth are used to bite through, to cut, tear, and grind, so if your teeth fall out, you lose personal power and your ability to be assertive, decisive, and self-protective. This can indicate self-confidence issues.

Dreams about taking an exam or test

Another very common one, taking an exam in your dreams might reveal an underlying fear of failure. Tests make us face up to shortcomings and to dream of failing an exam, being late for one, or being unprepared shows that you might unprepared for the challenges in your life right now.

Dreams about falling

Dreams about falling from great heights are very common. While there is a popular myth that if you hit the ground in your dream you will die in real life, it simply is not true. So what exactly could dreams about falling really mean? According to many popular dream interpretations and at least one study, falling dreams are a sign that something in your life isn't going well. It might suggest that you need to rethink a choice or consider a new direction in some area of your life.

It is a symbol of fear in real life - perhaps of failing at work or in your love life, but can also express a need to let yourself go more and enjoy life more.

Dreams can be really informative! Try keeping a Dream Journal by your bed to write down what you can remember as soon as you wake, and then look back later in the day to try to find some meaning.
