3 Minute Mindfulness: Connect to the Universe


Okay.. this one is going to feel a *little* weird! But give it a try, what do you have to loose? Here we go..


Step 1. Start in grounded pose - feet firmly on the floor, acknowledging the feeling of the ground beneath your feet and legs hip distance apart.


Step 2. Spread your fingers out, stretch your arms above your head and breathe in as deeply as you can for as long as you can.


Step 3. As you exhale, bend forward, scooping your fingers down to your toes and swinging your arms 270 degrees.


Step 4. Use the image above as inspiration. Imagine yourself in the centre. Now.. DEEP breathe in and imagine you are scooping up the whole milky way, into your arms and over your head and you swing your arms up and stand up again. Stretch your arms up above your head and envision the stars and planets sprinkling down around you.


Step 5. Flop over again, swinging your arms down and behind you. Let out a deep breath.


Step 6. AND REPEAT!


End your practice by coming back up to your grounded pose and focusing on 3 mindful breaths.
